Genom ett gediget och mångårigt arbete med dessa frågor har vi idag en organisation där mångfald och jämställdhet är en självklarhet och ses som något positivt för vårt arbete, företagskultur och oss som individer. Företaget har idag något fler kvinnliga medarbetare än manliga men vi arbetar kontinuerligt med att nå en jämn fördelning. Identity Works har i enlighet med företagets strävan ingen systematisk löneskillnad mellan män och kvinnor.

Yesterday the Swedish Design Awards took place in Gothenburg and we were proud to have several nominations. A great evening filled with fantastic designs that ended in the best way possible – wins for us. Gold for HOBO (Graphic Identity), 3rd for the playful LIP (Graphic Design) and our friends at Vain (Identity Product Design).
A golden way to start the weekend!
Good design and strong brand building are often the direct result of a simple collaboration between an agency that dares to challenge and a client that dares to accept and encourage that challenge. But, whilst the agency basks in glory the client is often forgotten. It’s for these clients that Komm is introducing Årets designköpare – a celebration of, and salute to, their bravery and progressive thinking. A great initiative that we at Identity Works will all be supporting. And none more so than our very own CEO Bjarne Otterdahl who will also be amongst this years judges!
If we were pretty impressed with ourselves for receiving 5 designpriset nominations last year, imagine our amazement at being nominated 8 times this year! Let’s just say we’re happy. In fact the only thing that could possibly make us even happier would be to win all EIGHT.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making Human World a success! We’re proud to have brought together Jenn Maer (IDEO), Kaj Drobin (Tictail), Julien Mauroy (KTH/SSES) and an amazing audience of creative thinkers and brands to learn, ponder and discuss human-centered design.
We’ve been working diligently the past few months to plan the event, and it was fantastic to see so many inspired and curious people under one roof. Everyone’s involvement and presence helped to make this event a success. We hope that all will have continued interest and engagement in human-centered design. As Jenn Maer put it, “the world needs more of it!”

After several months of hush, hush work we’re very excited to introduce Little Farmer – our latest creations for a completely new range of locally produced and organic baby foods from Lantmännen. Good news for us, even better news for hungry little tummies.
We are humble and grateful. Thrilled to be working with such lovely clients and talented people. Yesterday, just like last year, we won second prize in Årets Byrå (Branding & Design agencies, 25+ mkr). And you know what they say about us seconds. We try harder.
We’re looking for a copywriting creative to join us on part-time basis. Someone that’s equally as adept in English as they are in Swedish. A somebody that thinks beyond just filling the ‘insert words here’ box. Let’s just say we’re looking for a good storyteller, with big ideas, that likes words. In return we offer the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects – from product naming to brand stories including everything in-between and beyond.

Here at IW our search for people is continuous. In particular we’re always on the lookout for the next generation of talents. We’re getting even busier and that means we need to expand our family a little more. This time we need creatives. Two talented graphic designers to be precious, one with a year or two’s experience, the other with more. Aside from this, we like our creatives to be broadly skilled – as comfortable designing packaging as they are working with identities, as at home in printed media as they are in digital. It’s always nice to be acknowledged for a fine piece of design, but it’s even better when the design is awarded for its actual effectiveness. That’s why we’re extra proud that our work for Risenta has scooped this years 75-Wattaren Strategic Design award. Yay us and big thanks to the Risenta buying public.
We’re super excited over our two nominations for this year’s 100-wattaren. Our work for OLW and Risenta are both nominated in the Consumer – Strategic design category. Which means we’ll be competing against ourselves. Anyway, we think both entries are great examples of design creating actual business results. Let the best entry win!

Contrary to misconception Stockholm Open is more than Stockholm’s premier tennis event. It’s actually a racket-free youth initiative for Stockholm teenagers to get involved in the communication business. One that allows agencies to play an active role in helping shape the future talents of the industry. And as an official host agency we’ll be welcoming, guiding and hopefully inspiring a team from Enskede-Årsta-Vantör as they endeavour to solve their challenge.
Picture the scene. Sunbaked beaches, crystal blue waters lapping at the shore, luxury yachts, glamour and glitterati. It could only be the French Riviera. Exactly where our very own Candice Madrid-Dahlqvist will be spending the next 10 days locked in a darkened room, looking through thousands of entries alongside the rest of the judges for this years Cannes jury. The very best of luck Candice. And remember – greatness is its own reward!

We’re looking for a new production designer. Someone more than just a traditional art worker. Someone with solid packaging design experience, art working knowledge and the maturity to run independently. With a strong graphic design portfolio we see this someone as our line extension specialist. Able to interpret any brief. Obsessive about detail. Geek-ish for the craft. A true system lover. As an integral part of the IW production team this someone will become our unsung hero.

As a creative agency we’re approached by all sorts of students. Some seeking internships. Some seeking that illusive first job. Of these most come brandishing a portfolio of work that’s highly finished, slickly polished and available online. The proof that they can do what we do. So, imagine our surprise when two Forsbergs students turned up proposing a mission into space. That’s right, space. They quite literally wanted to launch a self-devised vessel into orbit. Its mission: an experiment to create a piece of art. To them an explorative project. To us a breath of fresh air. No polished packaging design, no book projects, no case films, just a blissful moment of creative madness. That’s a step into the creative unknown. The type of behaviour that should actively be encouraged. And that’s exactly why we’re embracing, nurturing and supporting it.

Good news! Our senior creative Cecilia Lindgren is part of this year’s Guldägget jury. Two categories will be graced by her presence – corporate identity and packaging design. The rest of us say hooray and good luck finding out which glittering eggs are actually golden.
Or should that be: welcome to Uppsala, Identity Works? Anyhow, we’ve just started working with the Uppsala place brand. And we’re as thrilled as Pelle Svanslös when he met Maja Gräddnos.
The world is an amazing place. Mostly it’s amazing for all the right reasons. Sadly, last week we were amazed at the suffering currently being endured by the people of Syria.
